What a whirlwind week! We traveled from Mirandela to Alfandega da Fe to Vimioso to Miranda do Douro to Moradoura and now we're back to our favourite hotel in Alfandega da Fe. We were able to see Spain from these towns. Northern Portugal is so quaint, picturesque and beautiful. Words cannot explain its beauty and serenity. The rolling mountains are endless and breathtaking. I feel more relaxed, grounded and at home here than I did in the region of Algarve which has fantastic beaches and I thought would be really tough to beat! The highlight of my day yesterday was visiting the hot springs (called termas) in Vimioso. We spent all of yesterday morning basking in the very healing hot springs water. The water felt like a warm silky gel. After some time in the pool, we had a hydro massage where water is sprayed on us while the massage is given. I fell asleep in the lounge chairs from total relaxation. We thought we would leave this region after two weeks, but Ernest and I are loving it so much that we will stay a little longer.
Looking ahead into August, my next Zoom meeting will be on Saturday August 7th, 2021 at 7 pm GMT or 2 pm EST. This time I chose a fun topic: Matters To Take To Heart, Mirror Mirror On The Wall, Let's Talk About Our Image. I have had some things said about me and that took away so much of my authenticity.
