One Year Later, I'm Still Transforming!

Updated: Nov 14, 2022

Today is 1 year since I started to exercise. It's such a milestone for me. God sets no limits on where help comes from when we need it. I am exercising with a team in the US. I've had highs and lows in the journey of discovering myself and exercise. God always shows up to give me that boost that I need.

In Karate Kid, Mr. Miyagi says "Man who catch fly with chopstick can accomplish anything." I believe this is true about exercising. It's transformational in all areas of my life.

I worked on myself using "Girl, Stop Apologizing". The book brought me to tears (in a good, supportive way) to face myself to allow the transformation to happen. One of the biggest challenges I overcame was facing myself when I had to choose clothes to represent the authentic me.

We never know how we influence people around us as we transform. It gave my mother the verve to start exercising for the first time in her life at the age of 76. Today I celebrate that I can touch my toes, I can bend, I have strength again, I can lift my knees above my waistline. I can jump, hop, skip and run. I can do the pikes, burpee firecrackers, spider push ups, planks and more. I can do it! YES I CAN!
