In Luke 6:38 Jesus said "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will it be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." I love giving as often as I can. Giving of my time, my talents, my prayers, my support and more. It seems as if for a very long time I was always giving. Something shifted this year and it's been very noticeable to me. I started to receive.
What's even more astounding is many times I received gifts on the same day from different sources. It excites me when this happens! These are some of the treasures I received recently. I supported Joshua Carpenter providing feedback through the revisions of his book "You're Not One Of Us" as he spent months writing. To receive a physical copy was the icing on the cake for me!
I love DoTerra. I used to be very averse to the use of essential oils because I did not understand the benefits. One day I accepted a Facebook invitation from a young lady I met. Her name is Jennifer Stachowski. I didn't realize that it was for her doTerra business. It turned out to be such an educational journey for me. I read what she posted and listened to her. Two years later I purchased a starter's kit and my health began to improve. I travel with the oils wherever I go and I love how versatile they are. Today I received a thank you from her for sharing my love of the oils. It just warmed my heart!
I also love "Cards by Rachel"! This friend of mine makes these cards to help her alleviate the stresses of life. When I saw them for the first time, I started to promote her business and I am a big supporter and cheerleader of her continuing to do these as long as she wants to. Her creativity brings me joy. I've realized that what Jesus said is true. What you give, you receive and so much more in return.
